Enaam Chleilat is a Canadian researcher who moved to Germany after receiving her Masters in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Guelph in 2014. In Germany, she pursued her PhD at the Institute for Anatomy and Cell Biology at the University of Freiburg. Her thesis focused on the spatiotemporal role of transforming growth factor betas on hindbrain serotonergic neuron development. When she stumbled upon an unexpected cardiac phenotype during her studies, her new questions led Enaam to join the Bioinstrumentation group at IEKM in 2018.
